Corrective Chemical Peels
What is a Chemical Peel?
Depending on the Peel, it all starts with a form of acid that is either straight or blended with other acids to help target specific skin conditions. These acids work by going deep into the skins dermis and causing a resurfacing process that brings old damaged cells up, that will either flake or peel off later.
This process purposefully induces a high exfoliation that cannot currently be achieved any other way.
What areas of the Face are best for
Chemical Peels?
When done correctly, Chemical Peels allow providers to target stubborn brown or pink discoloration from past skin trauma. We can also target overall skin texture, acne scarring, sun damage, fine lines and prohibit long term deep set wrinkles, they can even maximize the potential effectiveness of a long term skincare routine.

Pre- and Post- Chemical Peel:
7 days prior to your chemical peel appointment you're going to want to stop the usage of any current actives
(ie: vit. A, Retinols, serums containing glycolic, bha's, aha's, latic acids, salicylic acids, any scrubs or exfoliants, and absolutely any prescription topicals)
You're also going to want to make your provider aware of any current digestible prescriptions you're currently taking for your skin.
Post procedure expectations are very dependent on the type of peel received, and will be thoroughly discussed prior to the start of the service. It is very common to experience dry/tight skin immediately after. Within the first couple of days you'll notice mild irritation, itchiness, and potentially some areas that may seem "chapped". Days 2-4 you'll notice some darkening or discoloration of any targeted areas, as those skin cells come to the surface. Days 5-7 you may start to notice some heavy flaking and breakouts along the skin.
Most of our peels process over a period of 7-10 days; flaking or peeling is very common but not necessary for long term results.
Minimal Sun exposure and a simple skincare routine are required to heal properly.
